TREKKING TO PALAIOCHORA'S DESSERTED SETTLEMENT
The route begins at village’s Drimos church (Dryali)
We follow the road all the way up and at some point we reach the mountain path. At the crossroad choose the left path.
The route is quite easy and it will take you about 45′ to reach the Palaiochora settlement.
At the end of the route and 450m high lies the dessert settlement of Palaiochora. The settlement was inhabited until the 18th century, when all the habitants moved to Drimos village. Today it is consisting by two abandoned towers and the chapel of Agios Nikolaos.
